The University has rolled out the Course Materials program for all learners in traditional undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses and any cohorts that start after July 1st, 2025. Students enrolled in "People and Business Leadership," "Management of Human Resources," or "Business Management and Leadership" will gain access through Cengage for $175 per term.
Traditional undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, and any new cohorts starting after July 1st, 2025, will be charged a flat fee of $175 a term.
If you already purchased your materials for class, you have two options. One, you can keep the materials you purchased and opt out of the Course Materials program. Or two, you can return materials that are intact and with unopened access codes for a refund and use the Course Materials inside Blackboard.
Your Course Materials will be delivered to you inside the Blackboard learning management system before the first day of class. Just look for Course Materials information in your online classroom. Physical materials, such as art supplies and lab kits, will be gathered at the campus bookstore. You will receive an email letting you know they are available to be picked up if you are taking a residential course or are in the local area. If you are taking an online class, once you receive that email, you can request to have them shipped by using the shipping instructions.
If you are missing an access code or physical material, check your Bellevue University student email for an email from 0142mgr@follett.com.
Use the shipping instructions to have physical items sent to you at no additional charge.
If you drop or add a course, your Course Materials access to the materials inside Blackboard will be automatically updated to ensure you have access to the materials you need. Physical materials (that are intact) will have to be returned to the bookstore for a refund.
After your course ends, your Course Materials access for that course will be removed. However, you may be able to purchase the materials by contacting the individual publishers of the materials. Physical materials are yours to keep.
You can opt out of the Course Material program each term via a link found in your Welcome communication. If you opt out of the program, you will need to purchase required course materials on your own and that may cost more and take more time to receive. After opting out, the cost of course materials will be removed from your student account.
You can opt out of the Course Materials program up to 14 days before and up to 14 days after the term start date. If you are in a term where none of your courses use the course materials program, you must complete the opt-out process to ensure you are not charged the course materials fee. If you are in a cohort, remember you are opting out of all the courses in the term.
You can opt out of the Course Materials program here. You will also receive a welcome email from Follett (to your Bellevue University email address) letting you know when the opt-out form is available.
If you have physical materials, you will need to complete the form and email 0142mgr@follett.com to tell them you are opting out - even if you have not picked up or ordered your physical materials.
Yes, you can opt back in through the end of the drop/add period for each term. You can opt back in by using the link found in your Welcome communication.
You cannot receive a refund for the online Course Materials if you withdraw from class after the drop/add period. Some intact, unopened physical materials may be returned to the bookstore for a refund.
